Dozen steps to get rid of acne (pimples).

1. Drink water. Plenty of it.

2. Don't pick, press or rub your pimples. If you do, you risk spreading the bacteria and increasing the chances of scarring.

3. Use an over-the-counter product containing benzoyl peroxide once or twice a day. It helps break up the plug of dead skin cells, bacteria, and oil that clogs the pore and forms an acne blemish. Start with the lowest concentration, and work your way up.

4. Don't just spot-treat acne; put the product on acne-prone areas, too. That can include your entire face (avoid the lips and eyes), back, and chest.

5. Go easy on your face. Washing removes oils from the surface of the skin, not from within the plugged ducts. In fact, if you're too aggressive in your quest for cleanliness, you may end up drying out or irritating the sensitive skin on your face.

6. Wash properly once or twice a day, using a mild soap, and rub lightly with your fingertips and warm water. If your skin is oily, use a soap with benzoyl peroxide for its drying properties.

7. Don't use brushes, rough sponges, cleansers with granules or walnut hulls, or anything similar on the delicate facial skin.

8. Don't use oily products, such as hair pomades, heavy oil-based facial moisturizers, or oily cleansers.

9. Don't rest your chin on your hands or constantly touch your face.

10. Don't worry about what you eat, unless you notice a correlation between a particular food and your skin breaking out. But try to avoid the sugar.

11. Watch out for iodine, which can be found in multiple vitamins and iodized salt. Some doctors believe iodine may encourage acne.

12. Use the prescribed medicines for acne treatment, Differin gel (0.1%) and Accutane are the best of them. See Info at the link below.Help Please acne/blackheads/zips... please help!?
Wash your face 3 times a day (do not overwash). Remove your hair from your forehead this will make u break out more. Use Proactiv Solution once a day before bed time.
Firstly I'm afraid there is no such thing as an overnight remedy for acne. There are steps you can take that I have taken and have worked well for me.

1. VITAMINS- Take a daily dose of Omega 3, Zinc and Vitamin C. These are very good for your skin.

2. STEAM- Occasionally, and I mean occasionally (once every 1-2 weeks), steam your face. Boil a kettle, put the boiling water in a pan, bend your head over the pan and put a towel over your head so you are effectively creating an environment where no steam can escape. It's hot, but effective.

3. WATER- Water is a great antioxidant and helps to cleanse your system. You should be drinking about 2 litres (4 pints) a day. It will make you pee a lot at first but after about a week your system will get used to it and you can keep on drinking water without too much of a problem.

4. WASHING- Under-washing and over-washing your face are as bad as one another. Don't wash your face '24/7' as you put it. That is not good. You'll make your face red raw. You should really use a facial wash every day at night with a gentle exfoliant. Unscented is best. If you have oily skin, don't use a moisturiser. If you have dry/normal skin then only use moisturiser in the morning, otherwise you will block up your pores during the night, which is the prime time for them to breathe and recover.

5. MAKE-UP- Try to avoid using a heavy foundation or tinted moisturiser. I know it's difficult but you need to allow your pores to breathe as much as is possible. Use a powder if you must but remeber always was your make-up off at the end of every day.

Ultimately though, spots do not matter. You will struggle to find one person completely devoid of spots, so you musn't take it personally. Nobody really cares what you look like. I know it's corny but it's what you're like inside which counts. Spots will naturaly go away with age as well, so don;t beat yourself up about them.

Don't worry. You'll be fine.
Don't wash your face 24/7..thats the worst thing you can do.. two times a day is all you need...i would suggest trying to keep your hair off your forehead but also if your looking to get rid of acne you should try a 3-step system that includes a cleanser and toner with salicyclic acid and a lotion with benzoyl peroxide.. i use clinique acne solutions 3-step system...its a little pricey but lasts for a month and works really well.. good luck!
if you're going to go on acne wars you should start atleast a week before an important event.

the best kind of soaps either have benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid in them. just wash in the morning and at night, and use moiturizer if your face is dry.

that's all you can do.

drink lots of water

pull your hair out of your face

and wash your pillow case before you go to bed - it collects icky face oils and dirt
i kno how you feel...i say you should try this stuff called Acne%26amp; blackhead Terminator 10 its by acne-free its the spot treatment but i put it on my pimply face and the next day it was clear...ps- he box is orange..walmart like 4 bucks i kno its a little exspensive but it works great!!
